So Long, San Diego!

Our vacation from our vacation continued on Wednesday, as the four of us got up, walked across the street to get coffees, and changed into our suits. It'd be another day on the beach.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere of Pacific Beach, so we packed up the Pathfinder with boogie boards and chairs and headed over there.

The day was filled with reading books, getting some sun, riding waves, and, of course, playing some Kan Jam. The Huerbins took the games this time with yours truly hitting a Kan Jam for the automatic win.

For lunch, we visited a familiar place in Oscar's. Our tacos were just as delicious as they were yesterday, and I may have suggested we go to Oscar's for dinner (that idea was voted down, however).

We also made another stop at The Baked Bear to get some ice cream (still just as delicious).

By about 5 or 6, Katie teamed up with us and we stayed fairly late on the beach just talking and deciding on dinner plans. Katie had a few suggestions but there was one that sounded pretty good. It's called Draft, and it's located in Mission Beach.

So, as the sun was quickly approaching the horizon, we packed up our stuff, changed, and headed over to Drafts. We got a nice surprise as Nick was able to join us as well after work.

Inside, it was a huge restaurant that was filled with TVs, tables, and people.

But outside, the view was incredible. We had beachfront seats for a Pacific Ocean sunset. It did not disappoint.

Even after the sun was gone, the beautiful colors in the sky were not.

The food and drink at Draft was fantastic and left all of us extremely full. Fortunately, Belmont Park was right around the corner, and the five of us (Nick had to head home) played some mini golf and walked off our dinner.

Ethan ended up winning, but everybody had a great time.

We said our goodbyes to Katie last night, and took off for San Francisco this morning. We'll get into San Francisco on Friday. We're staying at the Islay Creek Campground in the Montana de Oro State Park along the Pacific Ocean tonight. We'll get you got up with that Friday evening!
